This non CME activity will be open to all physicians in our community, space permitting. We have assembled a panel of experts from across the state to inform and respond to practitioners in our area who are struggling to make sense of all of the evolving rules and laws to assist them in the appropriate and legal use of controlled substances for their patients.
Our panel includes Michelle Mendez, D.O.; a Jacksonville physician who lectures statewide on controlled substance prescribing, and has previously testified to our legislature during the construction of these new and complex laws.
Additionally, Anna Hayden, D.O., the current Chair of the Florida Board of Osteopathic Medicine will be a panelist. Although she will be participating as a private citizen rather than as a representative of the Board, she brings a wealth of experience and knowledge.
There are a limited number of seats available, and light refreshments will be served.
